What Foods are Truly Healthful?

The answer to this question should be resoundingly simple. Modern 'Nutrition' , 'Science', 'Research' and Advertising have clouded the issue to the point that we have forgotten the timeless truths about what we should eat. If we could simply be reminded about what Nature has provided us since time immemorial, we would find that these foods would resonate with us on a deep level and provide for us the perfect foods to truly nourish our bodies, and leave us in a state of true health. Although there is controversy over certain categories of food, there are some foods that are irrefutably 'good for you,' including Fruits, Vegetables, Whole Grains, Nuts, Seeds and Legumes.  I am a firm believer that we should utilize these foods as often as possible in their 'Original State' or as Nature intended, meaning we would not subject them to any process that could not be accomplished in a cave, without the aid of modern processing.

How do I get it to Taste Good?

Although I firmly believe that Nature provides us with perfect foods that would taste wonderful if our tastebuds were unadulterated, the fact remains that for most people, hot pizza ranks much higher than raw cabbage. So we are faced with the connundrum of making Truly Healthful foods also Taste Delicious. Having grown up in a family who would worship at the alter of their tastebuds 3-5 times daily, I felt driven to discover how to do this and poured over hundreds of recipe volumes. Being compelled to do so, I spent the last seven years in my kitchen, chopping, mixing, experimenting and concocting, settling for nothing less than the most decadent of foods, without straying from the ingredient list of Truly Healthful foods. It is with great pleasure I present a starter size compilation of my best recipes. Let it transform your kitchen forever.

Let me show you how to make Truly Healthful food taste delicious. In my recipe collection, I transform wholesome Fruits, Vegetables, Whole Sprouted Grain, Nuts, Seeds and Legumes into classic comfort foods. While I use plenty of raw foods, I also teach vital methods of respectful cooking, (low-heating) that leaves the enzymes and vital life force intact while giving the comfort and pleasing texture of traditionally cooked foods. My techniques will allow you to transform whole, sprouted grains into flourless baked goods. Learn how to use gluten-free grains to produce lighter tasting and textured whole-grain foods that rival their white flour counterparts. And, don't miss Almondaise, a blend of raw almonds, olive oil, water and lemon juice that is so thick and creamy that it can stand in for rich creamy dairy products in many applications, everything from vegetable dip to fantastic "funeral potatoes". Traci Sellers began her journey to the health and natural food evangelist she is when, with her first pregnancy she became very sick. In the first five months she was in the hospital being intravenously rehydrated five times. She had tried every drug and diet the doctors and hospital recommended and had tried supplements, vitamins her chiropractor had recommended and some herbal formulae for nausea. None of this helped for more than three or four days.

 

Her husband, Kal, was seeking, praying, studying and meditating to find an answer to this dillemma. Finally, he found, in that fifth month, a diet, called the mucusless diet, as delivered by Dr. John R. Christopher. The source had no recipes, just guidelines, but, in Kal's words, "...it was a cosmic moment, I just knew, without a doubt, that this is what we should do..."

Traci could not go to the bathroom on her own at this point and had lost nearly 30lbs! (remember she was 5 months pregnant and should have been gaining weight). She had little choice but to eat the food her husband brought her

Though the palatability of the food may have been questionable, the results were relatively swift. In two days she stopped throwing up and in three days she was no longer sick.

In the next few weeks she gained enough strength back to move about and prepare her own food, but always she had to hold rigidly to the standards laid out in that version of the mucusless diet or she would be sick again. Eventually, this would be overcome, but that is another story...

Over the next several years and pregnancies, Traci took it in hand to make this dietary program the best ever and to make it not just palatable, but truly exellent--a masterpiece that thrills all types of tastebuds!
